What If The Visegrad Group Was One Country

The Visegrad group is a cultural and political alliance of four Central European states called Hungary Poland and Slovakia and The Czech Republic (Czechia) relations between the four countries date back as far as the reign of Charles the first of Hungary in 1355 The name Visegrad comes from the Hungarian castle town of Visegrad Relations between the four countries Stepped up in 1989 with the collapse of the Soviet Union If the Visegrad Group was a country today it would have a population of 64 million people although the majority 38 Million would be from Poland This would give the Visegrad group a higher Population than Italy Now lets look at how powerful the Visegrad economy would be in the world stage The Visegrad group economy would be the 12th largest economy in the world a larger economy than Mexico Another interesting side note is that the creation of this country could possibly lead to Slovakia being the first country to leave the Eurozone In terms of land area the country will be well over 500 thousand square kilometers this would give it a land area larger than Germany The Slovakian Capital Bratislava would most likely be the Capital of this new State Given that it is the only capital city in close proximity to at least two other member states Budapest (Hungary) and Prague (Czech Republic) will most likely serve as the cultural capitals of this new country as well as administrative capitals of the region they represent Warsaw (Poland) will most likely be the economic and financial capital of this new country So all the cultural historic bonds between these four countries could they ever serve as one unity state The quick answer is no although the four countries have shown unity in the past and present to certain issues. For example the four countries have been unified on their defiance of refugee quotas set by the European Union although unified in some ways these countries are still very nationalists and proud these countries would never give up their Sovereignty voluntarily and Even knowing from recent history the czech republic and slovakia could not remain unified although it is still fun to theorise Thank you very much for watching , Go Raibh mile maith Agat!

  1. The capital would obviously be Warsaw. The Polanians would obviously be the leaders of this country. It will never exist but it can be entertaining to thing "what it".

  3. You are correct, it will not happen.  Hungary (Magyars) oppressed Slovakia for many years.  They tried to suppress the Slovak language.  Hungary is not a Slavic country.  Their language is not related at all to the other three countries.  If anything the Slavic countries should combine with Ukraine.

  4. Idea of uniting or commonwealth, common political statement would be more benefitial for Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia and Hungary. Those countries are kind of the same level of development with similiar economies. Smaller countries can also get some benefits from bigger polish economy. At the same time they can negotiate and share trade deals with other countries. Economic and political cooperation can boost development of those countries and cause rapid growth of GDP. Also its a third european military power excluding UK, after france and germany, its very important. Czech's and Hungarians would influence poland to make relations with Russia better.

  6. Visegrad is in czech rep.!
And it's highly infavorable for bratislava to become the main city, since even at their "unification" with czech republic, prague was the capital. It is most likely, that capital would be warsaw or prague.

  7. Orbán is zionist, liberal, and one of the most loyal persons of the EU! He only appears on Jewish Feasts, like holocaust, etc. This all is just a show for us, because we are not as liberal as germans and frenchs, and they want to make It like if we would have a good president! Oh, and the dictatorship is not just in EU, It's in Hungary too! No matter Gyurcsány or Orbán is the leader, they are all the same! Just like Trump and Hillary! And Jobbik and It's leader, Vona is the same! These leaders are all jews! Orbán is gipsy-jewish! His father is a gipsy, And his mother is jewish-hungarian! I don't know the other V4 countries, but actually this is the situation! And don't worry, Trump won't kill Merkel. They are really good friends. Just like Orbán and Gyurcsány.

  8. I`m in uk now,but plan to move to one of these countries as soon as possible,i hate what immigrants do to once beautiful countries.KEEP THEM OUT.

  9. For whatever nationalistic reason this would never work out. These four countries wouldn't agree on a single petty national thing, much less big statesmanly matters. This would end up like Yugoslavia.

  10. We are nationalists but we are like brothers, and good brothers don't mind living under the same roof for as long as we have equal say. A nation of our nations would be split between four states, our former nations.

  11. Even thought we are really close and some of us are slavic brothers, i think it would be bad to put us together, every country has pluses and minuses and I think we should be only a group, not one country.

  12. Im Pole and i prefer Visengard as group not country we should treat each other as brothers but we have our strong cultures and V4 was created to defend them .Mixing them up will make bit better version of that which leftists want to do with us

  13. You are correct in saying that the four nations are connected historically but they are not connected culturally due to Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovak Republic all being Slavic nations and Hungary being a Ugric country.

  14. Im from Slovakia,,, i think leaving European union would be the greatest mistake ever,, but if there was no other chance,,after so much whats going on now in europe,, it would be the BEST option ever … maybe we didnt have good relations whole time,, when hungarians first came from east we fought as well,, for centuries hungarians have been slowing out nation down,, but as i said we fought,, and now we r united …if those imigrants would come,, we would fought, but there wouldnt be any UNION

  15. Well, the Czech Republic and Slovakia WERE one country, called Czecheslovakia. It broke apart due to ethnic differences, so how would these four countries speaking different languages unite? Of course, the unifying force would be opposition to the Muslim hordes from Asia and the low-IQ human cesspool in Africa.

  16. I think the Visigrad group has the potential to be its own union. Hopefully they'll learn from the EU and restrict it to trade and commerce, but it could do well based on it's size and common goals.

We need more trading blocks, not bigger ones. We need competition and balance from a multitude of trading groups, like the South American "Mercosur", Visigrad, the UK, the Commonwealth, Austral-Asia, North America, Africa (as a trading block – if they ever pull themselves together they will command a great deal if trade being the source so many raw materials), Russia and China… With enough to keep the others honest trade can work and these block won't try and do what's going on in the EU now.

  17. A lose federation like the EU or the former EC would be more realistic for these countries, as these countries also have history and forced unification would hurt everyone, they could not agree on the capital, either.
Austria plus Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Romania could also contribute in a federation. Would be fun!

  18. Maybe just maybe it's time to Make Europe Great Again💪.. all the patriots, and populists in America are pulling for you, and praying for you..
Keep working towards freedom, and liberty, the great cultures of Europe must be saved!!

  19. Hey, Im from Slovakia and i really love V4 and our brothers of "modern nations" 🇵🇱🇸🇰🇨🇿🇭🇺 But if we have one country its doesn't work there was be which capital city we choose etc.. We have one country with czechs and we split and its much better than before we have much better relationships we should stay Independent countries but allies. ☺

  20. We dont need to form one single country, but we are one common bloc in their mind, and its good. This need for them, to take us seriously, but take care that they also try to divide us! V4 forever, best idea this union, but not as one country, but as good example to Europe, how countries could cooperate fairly!

  21. Visegrád is in Hungary and Hungarians are the only one who do something important in the Visegrád Group, Hungarians keep migrants out so Hungarians are the boss.. the Slovak, Czech, Polish people don't do anything just talk…. Orbán is the only one fighting with Belgium… Belgium is seriously bullying Hungary, but Hungary still do everything to try to keep Europe save, but everybody keep saying to Czech, Polish, Slovak people "Thank you, god bless you" but nobody say "Thank You, God bless You Hungarians" for Hungarians who are the only people in this Visegrád group who do something… Hungarians police are working VERY VERY hard to keep this ungreatful Europeans ass safe.. And stop acting like Czech, Polish, Slovak people do anything, they don't.. Hungarians deserve more respect, they are the only people who are fighting this migrants at the border all day-all night! Like it or not, this is the fucking truth! I don't care about the fucking "brother" thing when people let Hungarians out of everything and don't give respect and attention to them. Long live Hungary! 💜

  22. It does not make sense. Every country should be yourself and not make a second brothel like the EU. V 4 is to be an alliance of countries that will support militarily economically together but with the preservation of their culture and borders. We need to build autrostrady railway lines, etc. And in the future V7? Serbia Austria or Croatia also think to join.

  23. jestem polakiem i jezeli mialbym wybierac z kim mamy sie polaczyc w jedno panstwo to zdecydowanie wybieram litwe lub ukraine

  24. Bratislava as the capital? 😀 May I ask you where are you from? Bratislava is incredibly ugly city, plus it practically does not have any historical center. Brno/Krakow would be much better choices.

  25. It's a group designed to separate Germany and Russia from one another.
And their economy will he bad.Since both Russia and Germany will apply total sanctions on them.Leaving them on Wellfare if Usa

  26. Bratislava would be a great choice for a central city of the allegiance. In Polish Brat means Brother and Slava is related to Glory/Fame. So this name that would bring fame to such brotherly ties between these nations would do the job. Greetings from Poland <3

    Czech Republic
    Romania will join
    Austria will join
    Italy will join
    Switzerland will join
    the Giant is waking

  28. I'm a Pole and I got some ideas of how V4 could become the country of Visegrad. To begin each nation should remain its own "province" as to not incite division and forced assimilation. then at school children should still learn their native language but also learn additional language which all Visegradians would use maybe we could make something like Esperanto or just learn Polish as we are the biggest (not trying to elevate my country just suggesting) As for the gov. the Visegrad nation would have 1 government ruling all however to prevent a situation where any kind of coalition could rule with a majority against for example the Slovakians every "province" would keep a small governing body which if the people vote to could leave the Country this would force the new government to chose options that are beneficial to all. (i doubt that there could be much dispute as we are all very strongly linked together). IDK if anyone is going to read this but if you have any questions or advice I'd like to hear it 😀 (i'm an ideologist and I love our V4) Stay Strong Friends 🙂

  29. The visegrad group is a blablrl b blerlrrll mmlr lblllbrl …lbl ……….blbllemmmmlm llrlmmm.

  30. We don't need one country… We are need one army, one border, a joint military industry, ensuring energy security and common foreign policy. I'm Polish.

  31. Build a maglev network between Bratislava (political capital), Warsaw (military capital), Budapest (business/cultural capital) and Prague (where we drink away our salaries until it's time to work again). Buy more fighter jets and BVR missiles, leave the EU, trade with the UK and China, and watch the world burn from a reclining chair with sunglasses on.

  32. Be nice to add Austria under Kurz, Slovenia that has just slide to the right, and of course Italy to that mix. We need lions in Europe, and it looks like they are rising in the East.

  33. Forcing four countries into one will create some unnecessary tensions against them. Each member wants to preserve their culture, language and independence. People from one country in many cases can't possible know what is good for the other three. A close union is a way better idea. And remember that if you unite your common enemies will unite against you.

  34. Lol Bratislava is the smallest Capital city of them all and least developed aswell. It would be Warsaw or Budapest. Maybe Prague, because its most om west and on Important routes.

  36. I want this, mostly because im from Czechia. It would be better for our lives, but i think the capital will be in Krakow.

  37. I think this would be good for Poland, Cezh Republic, Hungaey, and Slovakia you all agree in preserving your culture know the evils of Islam go for it.
