Trump, Macron to hold off digital tax dispute until end of 2020: French diplomat


the US and France have reportedly agreed
to hold off their dispute over digital taxes until the end of this year Reuters
citing a French diplomatic source on Tuesday said the two countries have
decided to continue negotiations and digital tax at the OECD throughout this
year and neither the US or France will impose tariffs during that period French
president Emmanuel macron tweeted on Monday after a phone call with US
President Donald Trump that they discussed a digital tax and said the two
will work together to avoid raising tariffs the White House also said on
Monday the two have agreed on successfully negotiating digital tax the
US had threatened last month imposed tariffs on French goods in response to
Frances decision to impose digital tax on big American technology companies
last July
