President Moon to hold ‘candid talks’ with public through televised town-hall meeting

town-hall meeting with the public tomorrow carried live by local
broadcaster MBC having recently entered the second half of his term president
moon will listen to a variety of opinions from the people about what his
administration’s been doing while explaining the direction of his policies we look forward to the people’s thoughts
being delivered directly to the president we expect this forum will be a
place of unity and true interaction as we look for the right way to go based on
the president’s answers the meeting will run for 100 minutes beginning at 8:00
p.m. Korea time the president will not be informed of the questions ahead of
time so he’ll be answering on the spot the 300 members of the audience have
been selected by NBC taking into account age region and gender and with priority
given to underprivileged groups and people from remote areas

    President Moon is doing his best and he seems like a good leader (to an outsider like me, anyway) The knives are out for him now. The challenges that his government faces are mainly twofold: Reinvigorating the Korean economy and securing peace with the PDRK. If his government can make progress on either, or both, of those challenges he and his party might stand a chance at getting reelected.
