Lori Kolodiazny, graduate diploma
Public Administration, as well I’m currently enrolled part time in the
masters of Public Administration at Western. I came to Western for several
reasons, the first was a partnership with the city of London, and Western for the
diploma of Public Administration, the second was Western’s Public Administration’s
focus on local government, the majority of my career has been spent in local
government, and the third was the encouragement of my past to continue
my learning. My research paper analyzes the performance management plans, for my
department at the city of London, to determine to what extent the
departmental plans aligned with the best practices in the literature. I find the
program very challenging, but in a good way, I enjoy the camaraderie of the part
and full-time students as they both bring different perspectives to the
classroom, as well as the group assignments. The best thing about being a
Western graduate student is having the opportunity to beat people, student, as
well as faculty members that share the same passion about local government and
public administration that I do. The program is very rewarding, and it will
challenge you but in a good way.
