Jade Boivin – Comment nos étudiants diplômés abordent les défis de notre société?
How our graduate students are tackling complex societal issues? Imagine that you are a Native woman, and you work for the Ministry of Native Affairs. How will your life experiences, how will your experiences with discrimination in Canadian society influence your work? Influence the way you perceive the public policies which you work upon? These are the questions I ask myself within the framework of my doctorate. In fact, what interests me is knowing how our life experiences, especially when we are part of a community that has been historically oppressed, influence our work and our ways of serving the public. These are very important questions because the answers have a real impact on the daily lives of Canadians. My name is Jade Boivin and I work on questions of diversity within the field of public administration, and I am completing my doctorate in public administration at the University of Ottawa. uOttawa logo, Faculty of Social Sciences
