HILARIOUS Politician Fail Of The Week

A FUN STORY TO START WITH FOR
YOU GUYS. THERE IS A GENTLEMAN NAMED CHRIS TAGUE, HE IS IN NEW
YORK RUNNING FOR SUPERVISOR AND ASSEMBLY CANDIDATE, HE’S A
REPUBLICAN SO HE WANTS TO CUT THE BUDGET. HE WILL BE TOUGH
ABOUT THAT. KIND OF. HE’S TALKING TO DON MATHESON ON THE
RADIO, AND THIS INTERVIEW DID NOT GO WELL.>>THE CURRENT NEW YORK STATE
BUDGET IS ABOUT $149 BILLION, THAT WORKS OUT TO $7570 PER
PERSON. AS A COMPARISON, FLORIDA HAS ABOUT THE SAME NUMBER OF
PEOPLE, THEY SPEND $92 BILLION, THAT’S 4500 PER PERSON. SO DOES
NEW YORK SPEND TOO LITTLE, TOO MUCH, OR MAYBE THE RIGHT AMOUNT?>>I THINK THEY SPEND TOO MUCH.>>WHERE WOULD YOU CUT?>>THEY DON’T SPEND IT IN THE
RIGHT PLACES.>>WHAT WOULD YOU CUT?>>THERE’S A LOT OF DIFFERENT
PROGRAMS I WOULD SAY THAT NEED TO BE LOOKED AT. NUMBER ONE, I
WOULD SAY, UM, PROBABLY IN THE AREAS OF — UH, HOLD ON ONE
SECOND, WOULD YOU?>>SURE.>>I’M HAVING ONE OF THOSE
MOMENTS.>>WOW. YOU KNOW WHO IS FIST
PUMPING RIGHT NOW? RICK PERRY. LIKE, YES. THAT GUY WAS WORSE
THAN ME, WE FINALLY FOUND THE GUY. RICK PERRY IS GOING AROUND
TOWN GOING — ABOUT MY FRIEND TAGUE OVER HERE. YOU CLAIM THE
BUDGET IS BLOATED, YOU ARE RUNNING ON THAT, THAT’S YOUR
WHOLE THING, THESE DEMOCRATS AND LIBERALS OVERSPENDING. OKAY,
NAME ONE THING THEY ARE OVERSPENDING ON. THIS ISN’T A
HOSTILE INTERVIEW, THE GUY WILL TRY TO HELP HIM IN A SECOND,
PROBABLY AGREES WITH HIM. BUT HE’S LIKE, ANY IDEA WHAT YOU ARE
RUNNING ON? THIS IS NOT AN OBSCURE ISSUE, THIS IS NOT WHAT
DID YOU THINK ABOUT THE MINUTIA OF ONE PARTICULAR TAX BILL. THIS
IS, OKAY, WE ARE WAY OVERSPENDING, WHAT ARE WE
OVERSPENDING ON? UH, AH — MY FAVORITE PART WAS THE BREATHING. THAT PUT HIM OVER THE TOP OF RICK PERRY. NICELY DONE. AND
DUDE, YOU CAN’T COME UP WITH A SINGLE EXCUSE? NOT ONE? LIKE MY
KIDS ARE IN THE ROOM, I GOT DISTRACTED, WHAT WAS THAT AGAIN? LET’S TAKE A BREAK AND COME BACK IF WE CAN, SORRY ABOUT THE KIDS. MAKE SOMETHING UP. HE’S NOT GOING TO. THE PAIN CONTINUES.>>MAYBE I CAN HELP, SOME OF THE
BIGGEST AREAS THE STATE SPENDS MONEY ON HIS EDUCATION, THEY
ALSO SPEND A LOT OF MONEY FOR MEDICAID.>>YOU KNOW WHAT? THAT’S EXACTLY
WHERE — AS FAR AS EDUCATION GOES I’M A PROPONENT OF
EDUCATION. AND I WOULD LIKE TO SEE US ESPECIALLY IN RURAL,
UPSTATE NEW YORK –>>WAIT, HOLD ON. THE QUESTION ON
THE TABLE IS WHERE WILL YOU CUT THE BUDGET?>>I THINK MEDICAID IS A GOOD
PLACE TO START. BUT YOU ASKED ME A QUESTION ABOUT — AND ALSO
ABOUT EDUCATION, WHAT I WAS SAYING –>>NO, I WAS TRAINED TO HELP YOU
DOT THING I WAS SAYING THOSE ARE THE BIG AREAS — WHEN SOMEONE
SAYS THEY ARE RUNNING FOR OFFICE MY JOB IS TO ASK THEM SPECIFIC
QUESTIONS. OKAY, YOU ARE RUNNING FOR STATE ASSEMBLY. IF YOU GET
ELECTED YOU ARE SAYING TO ME THE STATE SPENDS TOO MUCH MONEY, SO
I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF YOU GET ELECTED WHAT AREAS YOU THINK THE
STATE SHOULD SPEND LESS MONEY ON.>>AND I JUST TOLD YOU,
MEDICAID.>>THAT’S IT?>>THAT’S ONE OF THEM.>>LET’S TALK ABOUT GUNS.>>[LAUGHTER] MERCY, THAT WAS
THE HOST THROWING IN THE TOWEL, TRYING TO GET HIM OUT OF THAT
RING. THAT’S THE ONLY THING YOU GOT, WE SHOULD CUT MEDICAID. BY
THE WAY THAT’S NOT POPULAR EITHER. THERE IS AN IMPORTANT
POINT HERE, WHO CARES ABOUT CHRIS TAGUE, HE IS RUNNING FOR
ASSEMBLY CANDIDATE IN NEW YORK, THAT’S NOT THE POINT. THE POINT
IS OVERALL FOR THE REPUBLICAN PARTY THEY ARE FULL OF IT. THEY
DON’T ACTUALLY HAVE HUGE AREAS OF THE BUDGET TO CUT. HOW DO I
KNOW THAT ON THE NATIONAL LEVEL? THEY TOLD US FOREVER DON’T
WORRY, WE CAN DO TAX CUTS FOR THE RICH AND WE WILL FIND PLENTY
OF PLACES TO CUT. WE WILL CUT, NO PROBLEM. AND THEN IT TURNS
OUT, NO YOU COULDN’T. YOU DID THE JOINT TAX CUTS AND PUT A
$1.5 TRILLION HOLE IN THE DEFICIT. BECAUSE THERE AREN’T
THAT MANY PLACES TO CUT. IN FACT ONE OF THE PLACES THEY TRIED TO
CUT WAS CHIP, WHICH IS HEALTH INSURANCE FOR KIDS. AND THAT
POLLED AT 80% POPULARITY, THE PROGRAM DID, SO CUTTING A
PROGRAM THAT WAS 80% POPULAR DID NOT PLAY WELL. AND THEN THEY
BARGAINED AND HELD IT HOSTAGE UNTIL DEMOCRATS GIVE THEM
SOMETHING IN A BUDGET BILL, ETC., AND THEN PRETENDED THEY
WERE FOR CHIP ALL ALONG. CHILDREN’S HEALTH INSURANCE, OF
COURSE WE ARE FOR IT. EVEN IF THIS KNUCKLEHEAD COULD NAME A
COUPLE THINGS, THE GO TO MOVE ON THE NATIONAL LEVEL IS CUT
FOREIGN AID. FOREIGNERS, RIGHT? THE NUMBER ONE RECIPIENT OF
FOREIGN AID IS ISRAEL. DO WE WANT TO CUT THEIR AID? NO, WE
WILL KEEP THEIR AID. THE NUMBER TWO RECIPIENT IS EGYPT BECAUSE
OF A PEACE DEAL THEY MADE WITH ISRAEL, DO YOU WANT TO CUT THAT? WELL, ISRAEL DOESN’T WANT US TO CUT THAT SO WE CAN CUT THAT
EITHER. SO WHAT DO YOU WANT TO CUT? UH — CHRIS TAGUE RIGHT
THERE WAS THE REPRESENTATION OF THE REPUBLICANS ON A MACRO
LEVEL. THEY DON’T KNOW WHAT TO CUT, THEY COULDN’T POSSIBLY CUT
ENOUGH TO JUSTIFY THE TAX CUT THEY KEEP GIVING FOR THE RICH. THAT IS WHY UNDER REPUBLICAN PRESIDENTS LIKE RONALD REAGAN
AND GEORGE W. BUSH AND DONALD TRUMP DEFICITS ALWAYS EXPLODE.

  1. The Young Turks have to, very publicly, explain the full context and history of the name "Young Turk", offer their deepest apologies for using it, and change it! Having your name, be the same as a group (the Young Turk movement …and the expression, is a likening to this exact group), that is as atrocious as the nazis, is simply inexcusable, and anti-progressive!

  2. Where do they find those people? Simple: donors (corrupters) give the party a list of clueless-born rich people that love the swamp. If they focused on qualifications, maybe they'd get decent people that would have some form of clue.

  3. Republicans are neo-feudalists. They want to transfer money and power to the so-called elites. They hate the idea of America and insist on proving this fact.

  4. Right-wingers are like children. Strong opinions, yet clueless about everything.
One reason for that is that their opinions are based in emotions; fear and hate.

  5. Yeah, we’ve all had that moment where our brain just won’t cooperate for some reason, but that was such a basic question that that shouldn’t have mattered – and he probably shoulda had notes just in case it did.

  6. This is EVERY Republicans Ever. "What specifically will you cut?" (Looks around, makes
something up) Or if You're Rick Perry, just say "Oooooooooooooooooooooops". Frauds!

  7. these lazy fucks are PAID MILLIONS to do nothing
and then they turn around and call my generation lazy

20 minutes of prep time would be enough but even that was expecting too much

  8. Dude when the radio host paused and said "ok let's talk about gunss" I literally shot my oj outta my nose cause I couldn't hold the laughter

  9. This comparison between New York and Florida is completely asinine, could the New York budget be larger because is a much more expensive city? beginning with housing, food, schools, entertainment, etc. Try to get a one bedroom apartment in New York for less than $3,000 compare to the average in Florida of $500 to $800.00, there is no comparison.

  10. Hahaha he's like the kid that gets up for a presentation totally unprepared, and the teacher is like, did you even read the book…?

  11. People know superficial bumper sticker rhetoric not studied policy. It's a lot easier just to spout how you like "smaller guvmint" rather than explaining how you want to cut healthcare, education, and infrastructure spending and only spend on police and military.

  12. He knew what he was going to cut, because it's the sane shit Republicunts ALWAYS want to cut. Medicare, Medicaid, the Affordable Care Act, Social Security, Education, food stamps, ANYTHING that helps ANYBODY in this shithole of a country who isn't worth at least $5 million.

  13. Government is inefficient and there is EASILY 10, 20% that can be saved, if not 30%. Would be true if we were in the 80s. The stigma is still there but the reality has change since.

Its why people like Trump keep saying they will cut on spending, not cut on services, and the money saved will pay for the spending cut. But that was in the 80s. We are in 2018 and the reality is completely different. Now everything is underfunded.

The other thing is that we keep hearing of misuse of government money. Thats because the information is public. Private corporations keep those failures hidden. Anyone working for a large corporation knows they are blowing money on stupid mistakes too, but the people dont hear about it.

  14. How can comedians compete with this? I would suggest that the comedians file a class action law suite against the GOP for GOP's stealing of viewers and revenue.

  15. That's funny!!! He's a genuine effin moron! I hope his opponent plays that for all the people of New York!!!

  16. Thanks for posting this. Chris Tague is the current supervisor for the Town of Schoharie, about 40 miles west of Albany, NY. In a local article, he recently gave praise to his father for getting him into politics. His father, Larry Tague, was the former Schoharie County treasurer and was convicted of embezzling thousands of dollars from County. I don't believe that he should be held accountable for his father's crimes, but he shouldn't exactly be praising the man.

This interview shows that he really hasn't done his homework and is just expecting to sail to election because he's the republican in a conservative area. The seat was formerly held by another republican before he was tapped to head EPA Region 2. One hope we have to not elect Mr. Tague is that another local republican recently acquired enough signatures to get onto the ballot and this will likely result in a split vote, perhaps allowing democrat Aiden O'Connor to win the seat.

  17. Make it stop! Make it stoppppppppp… that’s just cruel, leaving that guy dangling like that, each precious second dangling out into an eternity…

  18. How about cutting the military? I think the US could do just fine with less foreign bases in countries that are allies for instance. I know you guys will be all over me for saying this, but as a European I find your obsession with military spending concerning. And then I'm not even talking about your obsession with gun ownership, which is worse.

  19. Seriously guys? Yes, Chris had a brain fart but that doesn't degrade the man that Chris is. I've worked with him closely and hes an extraordinary guy. He messed up in a radio interview big whoop. Anyone bashing him for breathing heavily is a horrible human being. How about this, you run a campaign and travel hundreds of miles a day in the 102nd Assembly District and try and come up with an exact answer on the spot. Democrats are the first ones to mock someones personal appearance, yet preach "love and acceptance" at every one of their rallies. Democrats? More like Hypocrats.

  20. Republicans can never give specifics on 'government is too big!!!' Ask them what an appropriate amount of money would be, and you'll never get a straight answer…never get an actual budgetary number. That's because it's all emotional. They emotionally feel government is too big, but they cannot logically define too big. They'll claim government wastes so much money…and when you ask them to name specifics, it's all emotional feeling again. You're not supposed to question their feeling… you're just supposed to agree and show that you have the same feeling regardless of facts or logic.

  21. He forgot the no.1 rule of politics: Don't try to answer any questions, change the topic and blame someone for something.

  22. There's these things. They're called facts. I'd like to think they govern our actions.
Yeah, I know. Not so much.
    Alas.

  23. "I'm having one of those moments" is code for "I have an ideology that demands I say the government spends too much money, and I'm just going to reflexively parrot that talking point without knowing what I'm talking about."

  24. Republican candidates like Teague don't need to be intelligent because the billionaires will continue to reward them for cutting their taxes.

  25. My favorite video on youtube — showing the Republicans of the donor-addicted sort (most of them) don't bother to plan ahead, they just follow donor orders and that's IT. With a side order of racism and abortion rant thrown in once in a while to hide behind fake morals.

  26. I'd rather have a man that knows there's a lot of of waste and fraud going on, than some cheap, lip service hack politician. There are tons of people collecting free shit, and are totally capable of working. My ex-wife who is an Authoritarian, Statist took advantage of the CHIP program, and there was no need for us to do that. She's always looking for a hand out from the government. Some 3rd, 4th,and 5th graders have know Idea who the 1st president is of this country is, while we pour more and more money into education. Get Real.
