Ankur for Assembly – A Voice for Change
Which side are you on? Are you on the side of corporations? Nooooooooo!!!!!!!!! Are you on the side of PEOPLE? Yeah!!!!!! My name is Ankur Patel, and I was born in Assembly District 45 and now I’m running to represent this district. I’m the education candidate. I believe in the transformational power of education and we need people in Sacramento at the state level that are gonna prioritize education. This is a complicated race with a lot of contenders and I feel like I’m not just running against individual candidates but I’m running against the political establishment. I am a bridge builder, not a wall builder. Other than education, a primary issue for me is health care. We can do better. We should do better, and a Universal Single-Payer Medicare-For-All system is how we can get there. In the environment, it’s about taking a stand against Oil & Gas companies about organizations and for profit institutions that are destroying our planet and profiting from it because we should all be on the side of Clean air, Clean water, and Clean energy and we can do that, and it can create jobs and create high paying jobs We don’t have to be attached to this old fossil fuel system. Another issue that is so important, especially here in the West Valley and we see it We have one of the wealthiest districts in the state, but homelessness is a serious issue. This is something that we really need to look at. There must be tens of thousands of people living in cars in Los Angeles and at least hundreds and maybe thousands in Assembly district 45 and we need to address this and we can do this by, again, calling on community. One issue that affects us all on so many levels that I have a particular affinity towards is transportation. We need to, we CAN do transportation so much better. This district is hampered by traffic. We spend so much time trying to get from A to B We’re not about incremental change. We’re about a transformational change of how we run politics. I grew up in a political household. My father ran for Congress when I was 11 years old, and I thought I was gonna live in the White House and even though he didn’t win, he put me on this political trajectory. People are disconnected and disaffected by the political system. People at the top don’t listen to people at the bottom The rich are getting richer and the poor stay poor for a lot of reasons. Corruption has become institutionalized through lobbying and campaign contributions. Vote for me because we need good people in office. Vote for me because we need Progressive champions who are gonna stand up for what’s right. Vote Ankur Patel for Assembly District 45 On April 3rd.
